The film "Kandahar" unveils the legacy of war in Afghanistan. The story line involves an Afghan –reared Canadian journalist who slips into her native land to save her sister, left behind when the family escaped. Brilliant and filled with irony the film presents the viewer with a compelling picture of life for the people of Afghanistan in 1999.
