Dog wardens are set to canvass the Moscow area from March 25 to April 5 to make sure dogs are licensed and vaccinated against rabies.

Dogs more than three months old must be licensed by Jan. 1 of each year for a $6.45 fee for spayed or neutered dogs, and $8.45 for other dogs. Dogs and non-feral cats of that age must also be vaccinated against rabies.

Violators will be cited with a fine of up to $300 plus court costs.

Individuals can purchase licenses through the Lackawanna County Treasurer by calling 963-6731, visiting www.pado glicense.com or stopping at Miller's Country Store Agway, 1148 Old Trail Rd., Clarks Summit, or Pet Supplies Plus, 1510 Business Rt. 6, Dickson City.
