  •  Election reform needed

  • To the Editor:
At the birth of our Nation, our forefathers heeded the fears of less populated States that a "popular vote" would be discriminatory to their best interests and supported an Electoral College concept instead of majority rule.
Our great State of Pennsylvania is now hostage to the voting blocks of large cities drowning out the will of voters in less populated areas.
Democrat, Republican or Independent, each is entitled to a fair voice without having that voice voided by the majority.
That is why Congressional Districts rather than total popular vote in each State of the Union must be the basis for deciding State and National elections.
