    WESTFALL TWP. - "A tale as old as time" is coming to Milford! The DVHS Drama Club will present "Beauty and the Beast" on April 12, 13 and 14th in the DVHS auditorium. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Friday April 12 and Saturday April 13, with matinees at 1 p.m. on Saturday Apri 13 and Sunday April 14.
    The three performances will also feature a Cafe, where theater-goers can enjoy delicious homemade refreshments. The cafe will be open for one hour before and after each performance, and during intermission. Come early to see the student Art Show presented by the DVHS Art Department.
    "Beauty and the Beast", based on Disney’s highly successful animated film, is the story of a bewitched prince and his palace staff who are in search of true love’s cure; and the heroic village girl who finds the prince’s inner beauty despite his beastly appearance. You won’t want to miss the chance to take the whole family to this one.
    Leading roles in the DVHS production are played by senior Kyle Brown as the Beast, and sophomore Mikaela Edelman as Belle, the beauty; junior Kendall Baird as Mrs. Potts, the motherly teapot and freshman Martha Morton as her son, Chip; junior Jeremy Block as Lumiere, the singing candelabra; senior Jaymarie Santana as Madame de la Grand Bouche, the wardrobe; sophomore Matt Tidridge as Gaston, the village hunk, and freshman David Torres as LeFou, Gaston’s sidekick; sophomore Josh Shepard as Cogsworth, the grandfather clock, sophomore Brandon Morley as Maurice, Belle’s father; junior Dustin Fouse as the handsome prince; junior Natalie Rosen as Babette, the feather duster; and freshman Alex Miller as Monsieur D’Arque.
    Ensemble members are Rachel Beals, Shelby Bodnar, Paige Bodnar, Audrey D’Jiya, Sam Evers, Shannon Ferguson, Dustin Fouse, Curtis Jaeger, Katie Kraus, Megan Kraus, Alexandra Jennings, Kristin Jones, Alexa Lissie, Danielle Misiaszek, Olivia Woolsey and Caitlin Zuckerman.
    Long-time DV Drama director Kim Golden has assembled a staff of professionals to make this huge production a success. They include Caroline Lehman, assistant director , Melissa Thomas, choreographer; Lance Rauh, pit band director; Sandy Stalter, vocal director; Laura Walsh, set designer/stage manager; Steve Davis, set construction; Kevin Riker,, tech director; and Jeff Morton, sound engineer. Members of the DV Drama Booster Club organize and staff many backstage departments, and are responsible for the Cafe.
