Deacon Glenn J. Biagi, 62 of Greeley, PA passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.

Glenn was a graduate of the University of Steubenville. He was ordained a Deacon within the Catholic Church on November 27, 1999 in Scranton, PA and currently served as Pastoral Associate at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, PA. He was also a Catholic Chaplain of the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution, Waymart, PA where he formed the St. Faustina Church for the inmates. Glenn had a passion for hunting, fishing and a round of golf, but most of all cherished spending time with his grandsons.

The son of the late Arthur R. and Marie (Wettengel) Biagi, he was born August 25, 1950 in Weehawken, NJ. He was married to Mary Elaine (Yazdzik) Biagi on June 9, 1978 in Olyphant, PA.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years; three children Marlaina Schlegel of Fleetwood, PA, Dana Biagi of Greeley, PA, Glenn J. Biagi, Jr. of Dunmore, PA; five grandsons Connor, Logan, Jackson, Michael, Ayden; brother Arthur Biagi, Jr. of Blufton, SC; sister Sharon Eadie of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

A wake will be held at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, PA on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2 to 7 p.m. Solemn Vespers will be celebrated at 7 p.m. by the Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D.D., J.C.L. Bishop of Scranton.

A Pontifical Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Most Reverend James C. Timlin, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Scranton at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, PA on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11 a.m.

Internment will take place at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, PA.
