NEWFOUNDLAND- Wayne County District Attorney Janine Edwards announced that the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Computer Crimes Division, Dunmore, arrested George Richard Miller, Sr. on May 9, 2013, for the possession and dissemination of child pornography on the world wide web.

Miller, age 29, was residing at 217 Huckleberry Road, Newfoundland. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Corp. Derek Fozard of the Pennsylvania State Police, the investigation began from "cybertips" being generated then disseminated to law enforcement for follow up by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Once the "cybertips" were received, the information contained within was followed up on by members of the PSP Computer Crime Unit. A search warrant was executed at the residence of Miller where digital media was seized and subsequently examined for possible child pornography.

The computer forensic exam allegedly revealed saved movies and graphic files containing child pornography on various storage devices. The defendant was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal attempt for dissemination of child pornography.

Miller was arraigned Thursday, May 9 before District Judge Bonnie Carney and bail was set at $25,000.00. Miller appeared May 15 at Central Court, Wayne County Courthouse, Honesdale and waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
