Philip S. Feigel, 81, formerly of Newfoundland, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 in Lewisville, Texas. His son Phil was at his bedside. The cause was cardiac arrest. He was the son of the late Philip H. and Helen E. Feigel both of Newfoundland.
Philip was a 1949 graduate of Greene-Dreher School where he was known for his athletic abilities. He led the Greene-Dreher basketball team to three county championships and remained unscored upon as a soccer goalie.
After graduating High School, Philip attend Long Island University on a basketball scholarship. He then joined the U.S. Airforce. Upon completion of his service, he entered the plumbing supply business. He was the owner of P.S.I. in Lewisville, Texas.
Philip was predeceased by his wife Alice Feigel and daughter Darlene Harris.
He is survived by his wife Gwen, son Phil, grandchildren Bric and Matt Burns, Lacey, David, Danny, and Dustin Boothe, great-grandchildren Isabelle, and Alexander Burns,
nephews Michael and David Quigley, and niece Laura Quigley.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday June 4 at the Newfoundland Moravian Church.
