MILFORD - The tree lined streets of Milford will be filled with the sound of music when 2013's Milford Music Festival kicks off on Friday June 9th. With 50 performances and free music at 25 venues in town throughout the weekend, there will be something for everyone to enjoy in every corner of the charming historic town, said organizers.

Weekend highlights include Jorgenson's at The Dimmick's annual Brooklyn Day in PA Block Party, free ice cream at Belle Reve, a wine tasting and instrumental Beatles tribute at The River Rock Inn and a benefit concert by folk icon Pete Seeger with RJ Storm and Old School at the Milford Theatre.

On Saturday and Sunday, Milford shopkeepers will host their seasonal Sidewalk Shopping Festival along Broad and Harford streets, at the historic Upper Mill, Apple Valley Village and Old Lumberyard Shops. In addition to the many sales and promotions at Milford's specialty shops, the many art and photo galleries will stay open late Saturday evening to host Art After Dark. On Saturday and Sunday, Fretta's Italian Specialties features its Boars Head hotdog and sausage and pepper cart on Broad Street while local radio station and presenting sponsor WYNY 106.9FM will be broadcasting live from the Milford Dairy Bar both days.

Those spending a full day or weekend in Milford will find an abundance of options for a quick bite or fine meal paired with live music at one of Milford's many top-notch eateries including The Waterwheel Cafe, Harford Street Eatery, Flying Pig TeaRoom and Apple Valley Restaurant. The music continues all weekend with Sunday sets by local favorites Ernie Karas on the lawn of The Harrington House Bed & Breakfast and Jon Curtin on the porch of Hotel Fauchere. Sunday visitors are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to Music In The Park's summer series kick-off concert in Ann Street Park for a special performance by folk, rock, bluegrass & blues band MiZ from 1 to 4 p.m.

Now in its 11th year, this year's Milford Music Festival is free thanks to the generous support of Neversink Media Group, The Pennsylvania Council On The Arts and Pike County Chamber of Commerce. For more information regarding Milford Music Festival and a complete festival schedule, please visit
