There was a large turnout for the annual Lake Region Hometown Kids Fest this past Sunday with approximately 700 people attending the many activities.
Lake Region Community Dock Foundation was able to raise $9,185 for people in need and nonprofit organizations. Jim Shook, the co-owner of Lake Region IGA said the total was $1,600 better than last year. Since Kids Fest started around 2002, Shook said approximately $26,000 to $27,000 has been raised and distributed. He said he couldn't be happier with the turnout and there was a happy medium for everyone at the events.
A car show and a motorcycle ride were also part of the activities.
