  • Moonlight Paddle planned at Lake Lacawac

  • The Delaware Highlands Conservancy and Lacawac Sanctuary will host a Moonlight Paddle on Lake Lacawac, on Friday July 19th and Friday, August 23rd from 7 to 10 p.m. Located at the Sanctuary south of Lake Ariel, the programs are free to the pubic, but space is very limited and reservations are required.

  • The Delaware Highlands Conservancy and Lacawac Sanctuary will host a Moonlight Paddle on Lake Lacawac, on Friday July 19th and Friday, August 23rd from 7 to 10 p.m. Located at the Sanctuary south of Lake Ariel, the programs are free to the pubic, but space is very limited and reservations are required.
    Rowboats, canoes, paddles and life jackets will be provided. Only sanctuary boats are permitted on the lake due to the delicate balance of Lake Lacawac's ecosystem.
    The 52-acre Lake Lacawac is a national natural landmark because it is a southernmost glacial lake in the hemisphere, that has been preserved in pristine condition and is totally free from development or encroachment. It is an ideal research facility and a beautiful place to spend a few hours enjoying nature.
    Lacawac Sanctuary is located on the southwest shore of Lake Wallenpaupack. From Route 590 take St. Mary's Church Road to Lacawac Road.
