Featuring live floral arrangements composed by local garden clubs, master gardeners and florists, "Art in Bloom," will return to the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance after receiving positive reviews. The group exhibition, will be curated by Jane Luchsinger, and it will open with a reception on Friday, July 12 from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Krause Recital Hall at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, in Narrowsburg, NY.
Each arrangement is a visual interpretation of a painting or sculpture, which will also be on display. The arrangements do not mimic the art, but designers use the palette and theme of the art as the basis of their floral composition.
The interpretive arrangements will be on view next to the works of art by local artists: Jane Blake, Theresa DeSalvio, Elise Freda, Joe Kluck, Nick Roes, Ellen Silberlicht, Margo Spoerri, Carla Strozzeri, Denis Yanashot and Mary Grace Yanashot. Floral designers include: Garden clubs from Hawley, PA and Liberty, NY. Master gardeners include: Kelley Edkins, Kathy and Olivia Grady, Anne Hart, Mia Koerner, Alison Peck, Ed Wuestman and florists from Miss Abigail, Rock Hill, Hillside Greenhouses and Flower Shop in Liberty, NY and Sugar Blossom Flowers in Livingston Manor.
