Alvirda was born September 1, 1924, to Florence and Henry Gresham in Jessup, Pennsylvania, the middle daughter of three. She was raised in Pennsylvania before moving to Newark, New Jersey, to work for Radio Corporation of America (RCA). It was at RCA she met and fell in love with Frank J. Broker. They were married August 19, 1944, and honeymooned in Atlantic City, N.J. During their 47 wonderful years together, they raised four daughters in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
She and Dad moved back to Pennsylvania, after his retirement. Eventually they became "Snow Birds ", traveling from Lake Ariel, PA., to Citrus Park in Bonita Springs, FL. Mom was a blessed with great luck, she loved to bake, was a talented musician and a wonderful tap dancer. Our Dad treated her like a queen and we all loved her dearly.
