SOUTH CANAAN - Come out to the 4th annual Varden Conservation Day Saturday, September 7. Varden Conservation Area is located in Wayne County near Lake Ariel.

Activities for the entire family are planned between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. such as a live Birds of Prey program, a children's fishing derby, scavenger hunts, homemade ice cream, fiddle music, a history of the Varden area and much more.

The day will also feature guided hikes led by experienced naturalists. These interpretive hikes will focus on tree identification wild edible plant identification and more.
