HAMLIN -The Hamlin Senior Center enjoyed a great day of music, dancing, food and prizes July 19th at the country themed annual picnic. Held at Lake Genero, there were over 150 in attendance.
A special guest, Deputy Secretary of Aging David Gingerich joined everyone for the afternoon. The Hometown Boys entertained and had the group dancing. Everyone enjoyed a traditional summer barbeque featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans and of course ice cream for dessert.
The center would ilke to thank all of the volunteers that mastered the grill and of course to Trails End Campers that helped out all afternoon. An additional thanks to all of the local businesses that donated so many door prizes. Pictured are members with the prizes they won and just having a good time. Spread the word and tell friends and people that there are center's open for people to use. There are meals for those who are at least 60 years of age. But the centers are for anyone who is interested in any of the activities, bus trips, exercise equipment, various games, crafts, volunteering and healthy steps program. Visit
