  • United Way 'Day of Caring' on Sept. 14

  • The United Way of Pike County will host the 13th Annual Day of Caring on Saturday, September 14 at 7:45 a.m. in the Delaware Valley 9-10 campus followed by a day of helping many non-profit agencies with cleaning, clearing out and getting set for another busy year.

  • The United Way of Pike County will host the 13th Annual Day of Caring on Saturday, September 14 at 7:45 a.m. in the Delaware Valley 9-10 campus followed by a day of helping many non-profit agencies with cleaning, clearing out and getting set for another busy year. The day will kick-off with a free, "breakfast for champions," where volunteers will receive a free tee-shirt compliments of the Dime Bank.
    Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer of the Dime Bank and UWPC Vice President, Thomas Didato, said because of all the volunteerism it is a great day.
    As people face financial difficulties in the community, UWPC President Patrick Kiesendahl said local human services agencies are in need of help more than ever. The volunteers, ehs aid, are amazing.
    The 13 Annual Day of Caring and 11th Annual 9-11 Memorial Blood Drive is on September 14th at the Delaware Valley Middle School Gymnasium. Details about the day and the application form can be found on the United Way website, www.unitedwaypike.org., or call Catherine Capasso, Executive
