Gravity held onto the top spot at the box office this weekend, despite an impressive showing from Captain Phillips in its opening weekend.
The Sandra Bullock/George Clooney astronaut flick dropped just 21 percent in its second week, earning $44.2 million to claim No. 1 once again. Captain Phillips, based on a true story and starring Tom Hanks as the titular skipper, earned $26 million in its debut.
Coming in at No. 3 was the animated sequel Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, with $14.2 million.
The star-studded action movie Machete Kills bombed, with a meager $3.8 million and a fourth-place finish.
Runner Runner and Prisoners each fell two spots, to No. 5 and No. 6, with $3.7 million and $3.6 million, respectively. Insidious Chapter 2, meanwhile, notched up a space to No. 7 with $2.65 million.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Rush (No. 8, $2.36 million), Don Jon (No. 9, $2.34 million) and Baggage Claim (No. 10, $2.1 million).
