A webinar, "Housing & Management Characteristics of Dairy Farms Using Robotic Milking Technology," will be held on Oct. 22.
A free online workshop, the webinar is designed for dairy producers, their employees and will run 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
The webinar will discuss how transitioning from conventional milking to robotic milking offers potential benefits and obstacles for both the dairy farmer and the dairy cow.
Presenters: Mat Haan, Penn State University Extension, and Jim Salfer, University of Minnesota will discuss the challenges and benefits dairy farmers face as they make the transition to robotic milking. Also, provided will be information about building new barns or retrofitting an existing barn for robots.
