  • When one listens to Connor Garvey's songs, its like placing folk-funk guitar and ukulele, soulful vocals, and paradoxical metaphors in an electric juicer – you've never tasted it before, but its intriguing and delectable so you have to keep drinking. His clever, rhythmic string foundations provide a background for his most prominent instrument, his voice. His songs draw the attention of the entire room with humor, daring honesty, and grace through universal messages.
Garvey is set to perform at Harmony Presents, Saturday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. The show will be in the Boiler Room located on the lowest level of the Hawley Silk Mill at 8 Silk Mill Drive, Hawley.
These songs and messages have set out a path for Connor, finding his resonance with song enthusiasts across the US. His "winsome way with melody bringing to mind Paul Simon" through songs that "prove you can be optimistic and self-aware without being boring."
A native of Maine, Connor Garvey is leaving audiences uplifted and inspired. As he continues the troubadour path, he carries with him the tradition of acoustic music which folk legends Vance Gilbert and David Wilcox both agree is in the right hands with Connor Garvey. He wins song competitions, he fills rooms, but most of all he moves people.
