The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department will participate in the 2013 “Turkeybowl,” on Sunday, November 3.
The Turkeybowl is a charitable flag football game where the Eastern Pike Regional Police Officers will play against officers from the Federal Correctional Institutions in Otisville and Danbury, Otisville State Correctional Institution, United States Penitentiary of Canann and the immigration and customs enforcement.
Admission is free, but it is requested that all who attend bring a new and unwrapped toy to be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps “Toys for Tots.”
“There are children in this area who won’t receive gifts this season,” said Chad Stewart, Regional Chief of Police. “This is a great way to help our community’s children in need and we are glad to take part.”
The Turkeybowl will be held at the Airport Park football field in Matamoras and the game will begin at 10 a.m.
