The Pennsylvania State Police remind motorists to travel safely during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

The Pennsylvania State Police remind motorists to travel
safely during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Motorists are urged to buckle up
and slow down, and minimize distractions that take their concentration away from
the roadway including texting. Motorists are also reminded to keep themselves and
others on the roadways safe, by not driving impaired by alcohol, drugs or fatigue.
The Pennsylvania State Police is continuing efforts toward highway safety and
requests the cooperation of motorists.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Click It or Ticket"
campaign will run through December 1st, and a checkpoint will be conducted in
Lackawanna County.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop R, will be conducting roving DUI patrols in
Lackawanna, Wayne, Pike and Susquehanna counties during the holiday period in
an effort to keep motorists safe.
