  • Learn how to be involved in local political process

  • LAKE REGION- The Patriot Connectors invite the public to learn more about the United States, the U.S. Constitution and legislation in Washington at their December get together. People are encouraged to attend where they will discover how they can become more informed on issues concerning local, state and national government.
    The Connectors meet 7 to 9 p.m. every second Thursday of the month throughout the year at the Wallenpaupack Area High School Library. The school is located on U.S. Route 6 east of Hawley. The meeting is free and all are welcome.
    At the December 12th meeting the group will discuss how to become more personally involved in the political process of the tri-county area; from running as a local Township or Precinct Supervisor, a Party Committeeman, a Judge of Elections, County Commissioner or even a State Representative. Citizens can find out how to become politically involved in their local and state government and how they are administered. Guest speaker will be Wayne County GOP Chairman, Mike Lehutsky.
    Attendants are urged to be prepared to ask relative questions at the open public forum. Free books, pamphlets and other information on relative subjects will be available, including the "Independent Gazette" newspaper. There will be a limited number available of each Wayne County Township Supervisor listings. Also notification of local civic minded meetings and relevant issues, conservative materials and books are welcome as handouts.
