Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen: Craig Maier, age 36 of Bushkill was sentenced to 6 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of False Reports. On November 11, 2011 in Lehman Township, Maier falsely reported to the Pennsylvania State Police that his vehicle had been stolen. Christopher Olmeda, age 41, of Hawley was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,300 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence and three motor vehicle code violations. On April 23, 2013 in Lackawaxen Township, Olmeda drove his vehicle off the road striking a guardrail, his blood alcohol level was .211%. Olmeda did not have a valid driver’s license and his vehicle registration was expired. Joseph Giordano, age 28, of Greentown was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 3 to 8 years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 for the crimes of Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Disorderly Conduct. In July, Giordano entered a residence in Greene Township and took copper tubing wire, flashlights and pepper spray. At another residence in Greene Township, Giordano took a 2005 GMC pickup truck, 2 fuel cans and a vehicle battery. At a third residence in Greene Township, Giordano took 6 commercial batteries. In a separate incident on August 10, 2013, Giordano called Pike County 911 and threatened to kill his friends with a knife after they kicked him out of their house. Bryan Gallucio, age 22, of Hawley was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 18 months and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of Theft by Unlawful Taking. Between September 2012 and May 2013, Gallucio took over $1,000 in U.S. currency from another person in Blooming Grove Township. Jeffrey Opitz, age 31, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to the Intermediate Punishment Program for 5 years, with 64 days of incarceration and 180 days of electronic monitoring, ordered to pay a fine of $3,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 36 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On February 19, 2012 in Dingman Township, Opitz drove his vehicle off the roadway and down a small embankment. In a separate incident on April 3, 2013, in Porter Township, Opitz again drove his vehicle off the roadway and into a ditch. In both instances Opitz was driving under the influence of Xanax and Methadone. Luis Vega, age 25, of Hawley was sentenced to 2 years of probation for the crime of Indecent Exposure. On December 18, 2012 in a parking lot in Westfall Township, Vega exposed his penis to another person. Jose Martinez, age 29, of Monticello, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $600 for the crime of Retail Theft, Resisting Arrest and Criminal Conspiracy. On August 14, 2012 in Westfall Township, Martinez took a 42” television without paying the full retail value of $398. In two separate incidents on August 28, 2013 and September 10, 2013, Martinez agreed with his co-conspirators to remove numerous items offered for sale from a retail store in Westfall Township. On September 10, 2013, Martinez resisted arrest from the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department.
