A seminar, "Twitter for Small Business Success" at the Hawley Silk Mill has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (The seminar was originally scheduled Nov. 21.)
In this hands-on course, small business owners will learn how to use the social network Twitter to:
• Spread the word about their businesses;
• Network with other small business professionals; and
• Improve customer service.
During this class, intended for small business owners without a Twitter business page, participants will create a Twitter account from scratch. By the end of the class, attendees will have written their Twitter business profile and added images. Examples will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a flash drive with their logo loaded onto it as well as several other horizontal images related to their business. They can be of products your business sells, you interacting with customers, etc., whatever you think will best represent your business.
The instructor is Tim Sohn, CEO, Sohn Social Media Solutions. The event will be held in the Hawley Silk Mill, The Wayne/Pike Technology Training Lab (Suite 212, second floor). The Hawley Silk Mill is located at 8 Silk Mill Drive, off Route 6.
