  • Dime names bank managers at Hawley, Damascus

  • The Dime Bank has recently promoted two star employees to the key position of managing a community office. Melissa Wilkins has been promoted to Hawley branch manager and Pamela Kerber has been promoted to Damascus branch manager.

  • The Dime Bank has recently promoted two star employees to the key position of managing a community office. Melissa Wilkins has been promoted to Hawley branch manager and Pamela Kerber has been promoted to Damascus branch manager.
    Each of them will work with their team to provide customers and area residents with a knowledgeable and secure environment to discuss and conduct their banking needs. As branch managers they are responsible for supervising staff, originating loans, opening new deposit accounts, and overseeing their branch operations including general banking functions and building management.
    Missy Wilkins joined The Dime Bank in October of 2008. With over a decade of banking experience, Wilkins was promoted at The Dime Bank from head teller to assistant office manager, and now to branch manager.
    Wilkins is actively furthering her financial knowledge by taking numerous financial educational classes and is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting at Lackawanna College. Wilkins achieved a status of honor student from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Banking and received diplomas in Consumer Lending, as well as Principles of Banking from the PBA.
    Wilkins, a Hawley native and daughter of Robert & Linda Gardepe, now resides in Lakeville with her husband, Tyler. Wilkins is actively promoting financial education by teaching banking classes at Honesdale High School and Lackawanna College. She is also a volunteer at the Hawley Senior Center; Friends Embracing Friends; the American Cancer Society; Downtown Hawley Partnership; and Greater Honesdale Partnership.

    Pam Kerber joined The Dime Bank as a part time teller in 1995 at the Damascus branch. With almost twenty years at The Dime Bank, Kerber has held various positions. After her initial teller position, she transitioned to become a bookkeeping clerk for two years. Kerber then joined the Damascus team again as a full time teller. In 2000, she was promoted to senior teller and two years later took the position of a customer service representative.
    Kerber was promoted to the position of Damascus assistant branch manager in 2007. Over the course of her career, Kerber has completed numerous classes with the American Institute of Banking and holds financial diplomas in Bank Operations, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, and Commercial Lending. In 2012 she graduated from the PBA School of Banking.
    Kerber is currently attending a 2013-2014 Leadership Wayne class. She is a member of the Damascus Manor United Methodist Church and the Damascus Manor Community Center.
