  • For the convenience of those who live and work in southern Wayne County, Wayne Memorial Health System is expanding outpatient services by opening a facility at 543 Easton Turnpike in Hamlin.
The Hamlin Family Health Center, located in the former Hamlin Elementary School, will offer primary care (both by appointment and walk-in) and women's health services as part of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC).
Additionally, laboratory (blood draws) and radiology (general x-ray and ultrasound) services will be provided by Wayne Memorial Hospital.
With the building still in the renovation stages and the Center slated to open in spring of 2014, WMCHC is reaching out to residents to complete a survey to best determine the community's needs. The seven-question survey can be accessed from the WMCHC home page at www.wmh.org/WMCHC by clicking on the link Hamlin Family Health Center Survey.
The brief questionnaire takes no more than five minutes to complete and will be active until Friday, January 24, 2014. A paper copy of the survey can be obtained by contacting the Wayne Memorial Public Relations Department at 570-253-8390.
