  • Glen V. Commeau, 45 of Newfoundland, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday January 29, 2014. He was the loving husband of Sandra (Tulloch) Commeau, they where married July 14, 2007.
    Born July 8, 1968 in Bangor, Maine. He was the son of Evonne (Holman) Melville and her husband Jack of Greentown and his biological Father Wilfred Commeau of Texas. He was a resident of Newfoundland for the past 8 years and prior to that of Allentown PA.
    He owned and operated G.S. & J Automotive in Newfoundland for the past 7.5 years, with his wife, and before that worked as an auto mechanic in Allentown for 20 years.
    Being a kind, caring and giving man, he was an organ donor and donated his organs to help people even in his death.
    In addition to his wife and parents, he was the loving father of James D. Gitto of Philadelphia, PA, Heather C. Gitto of Newfoundland, and Annmarie N. Gitto of Newfoundland; and his step son Robert Dorsey of Allentown.
    He is also survived by his sisters, Theresa "Terri" Clemens and her husband David of Newfoundland, and Tina "T" Melville of Canadensis; his step brother Shannon Bratton and his stepsisters Sharon and Cindy Bratton all of Texas; his nieces, Petty officer 2nd class Aimee Clemens, and Samm Clemens and his nephew Joshua Clemens; his great niece Jaclynn Clemens and his great nephew Bryson Clemens.
    Glen was preceded in death by his nephew Zacharia Clemens. He also left behind many "brothers" that were friends to the end
    A celebration of Glen’s life will be held at Renegades Saloon, Newfoundland on Saturday February 1, 2014 from 1 p.m. till closing. There will be no viewing as per Glen‘s wishes.
    The Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
