WAYNE COUNTY - AOL.com’s new Executive Producer and Head of Programming, Brian Balthazar, will be the featured speaker at WEDCO’s Annual Meeting & Dinner scheduled for Thursday, April 10th, at Bryn Mawr Conference Center north of Honesdale.
When announcing his hiring, the internet giant described Balthazar as one of the most creative and talented people in the programming industry today. Balthazar's experience is unparalleled and unique – he has original TV programming experience as well as a world-class production background. He will play a leading role in the future of AOL.com.
Previous to joining AOL, Balthazar was Director of Original Programming and Development at HGTV where he oversaw over 500 hours of programming, including the popular House Hunters. Prior to HGTV, Balthazar spent many years working at NBC and the Today Show, where he launched the fourth hour of TODAY with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
Nationally known for his expertise in pop culture, Balthazar can also be seen in front of the camera. He hosted the HGTV special “I Bought a Famous House”, has been a comic and panelist on “Showbiz Tonight”, The Today Show” on NBC, MSNBC’s “Caught on Camera”, “The Joy Behar Show”, “The Early Show” on CBS and more. On the Radio, he is a frequent contributor to “Your Weekend” with Jim Brickman.
