HONESDALE - Wayne County is known for its wonderful local apple orchards. On Thursday, March 20, join the Penn State Master Gardeners of Wayne County to learn how to begin your own backyard fruit (and nut) orchard.
   John Esslinger, Penn State Extension Educator with an expertise in vegetable, small fruit and tree fruit, will discuss site location, fruit and nut varieties and care of your orchard. He will also talk about growing brambles.
      The program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Penn State Extension office in Wayne County, 648 Park St., Park Street Complex, Honesdale. There will be a $5 charge per person to attend.
