  • MILFORD - An Earth Day 8K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 26, is not only good for physical fitness but also to educate the community about the conservation history in this region.
Organized by the Grey Towers Heritage Association and the US Forest Service at Grey Towers, the second annual race will start and end at Grey Towers, ancestral home of Gifford Pinchot, founder and first chief of the US Forest Service and two-term Governor of Pennsylvania, and include parts of the Pinchot Greenway in the Borough of Milford and the Milford Beach in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The race concludes back at Grey Towers.
Last year’s participation was so successful the event is being improved and repeated. All proceeds will be used for public programs at Grey Towers. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m.
The entry and Chronotrack timing fees are, for an adult, $25 + timing fee= $27.69; for ages 17 and under, $15 + timing fee = $17.01.
