HAWLEY - Benjamin Moore, PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the Downtown Hawley Partnership (DHP) invite interested companies to bid for the Main Street Matters Project. 
    "Benjamin Moore’s Main Street Matters project has been the catalyst for the revitalization of our beloved Main Avenue," said Simon Knox, DHP Administrator. Together with the Hawley Borough and the DCED Façade Enhancement Program, he said they hope to have a complete revitalization of the properties between Church and River Street on Main Avenue.  Anticipated works include minor repairs to the facades, a fresh coat of paint, new signage, new awnings and a few other façade improvement related items.
     Bid documents can be collected from the Downtown Hawley Partnership, at 508 River Street, Hawley, PA 18428 from April 6, 2014.  A site walk will be conducted on Friday, April 12 at 9 a.m. meeting at the Partnership.
     Sealed proposals must be submitted to the DHP by 5 p.m., Thursday, April 17.  Proposals received after the dates and hours stated above will not be considered.  Furthermore, only original proposals will be considered; any faxed and emailed proposals will be declared non-responsive.  By submitting a proposal for this project, each bidder represents that they understand the requirements of the schedule and are capable of performing the work as per the schedule.
     Bid results will be announced on Tuesday, April 22.  The project completion date is June 13, 2014, and the successful bidder will be required to produce a program that meets this deadline, allowing for reasonable weather conditions.
