  • MILFORD - Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued Thursday, March 27 by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    • James Read, age 22, of Milford was sentenced to six to 18 months in the Pike County Jail, fines totaling $800.00 and had his driving privileges suspended for 24 months for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended and other traffic violations.  
    On December 29, 2013, in Dingmans Township, Read was found driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs which impaired his ability to safely operate his vehicle, and in possession of crack cocaine, heroin and marihuana.
    •Ian Gardner, age 22, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to one to 12 months in Pike County Jail followed 12 months of Probation, six months driver’s license suspension and a fine totaling $400.00 for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Receiving Stolen Property.  On July 25, 2013, in Matamoras Gardner was found in possession of 38 packets of heroin.  On August 26, 2013, Gardner was found in possession of stolen items having a value of $550.00.

    •Charles Swezy, age 47, of Matamoras was sentenced to 12 months of Probation and a fine totaling $500.00 for the crime of Theft by Unlawful Taking.  On December 28, 2012, in Pike County, Swezy charged $1,095.84 to his employer’s credit card without permission.
    • Jonnie Floyd, age 52, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to five years of Probation and a fine totaling $500.00 for the crime of Terroristic Threats.  On October 27, 2013 in Dingmans Ferry Floyd threatened his neighbor with violence.
    • Labinot Bajramaj, age 28, of Matamoras was sentenced to one year of Probation, a fine totaling $525.00 and had his driving privileges suspended for one year for the crimes of False Identification to Law Enforcement, Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia, Traffic Control Signals and Driving While Operating Privileges are Suspended and other traffic violations.  On March 17, 2011, in Westfall Township, Bajramaj failed to stop for a red light.  He provided the officers with false identification and was found to be in possession of a zip lock bag used for storing marihuana. His driver’s license was suspended.
