  • Ledges Hotel, in Hawley, will host a special reopening event in its restaurant and lounge, Glass—wine. Bar. Kitchen., on Saturday, April 19, from 9 p.m. to midnight. The hotel at the base of the Wallenpaupack Gorge has been closed since a fire on February 14th. The celebration, which is open to the public, will include live music and drink specials as part of the hotel's popular Grateful Dead Night festivities. There is no cover charge. The reopening celebration at Glass kicks off its spring season of entertainment and caps a period of renovations at Ledges Hotel following the fire, which caused smoke and water damage. “We're pleased to be reopening in April after only eight weeks,” says Ledges Proprietor Justin Genzlinger. “Tremendous gratitude goes out to our restoration partners at Dakan Enterprises and ProJan Cleaning and Restoration, and to our dedicated staff.” Ledges Hotel and its Glass lounge have been fully restored to their previous modern aesthetic and function. Renovations also include a newly styled hotel lobby and reception area, and a contemporary outdoor heating system to accommodate an extended dining season on the deck at Glass—wine. Bar. Kitchen. Ledges Hotel will officially reopen to overnight guests on April 17 for a private wedding, and is currently accepting reservations for lodging accommodations from April 19 forward. Following the reopening event, regular business hours will commence at Glass—wine. Bar. Kitchen. On Wednesday, April 23. Outside dining begins on May 1. During the April 19 celebration, cocktail service with emphasis on American spirits will begin at 4:30 p.m., and the kitchen will serve small plates-style cuisine from 5 to 10 p.m. The 5-piece ensemble Black Onion will play the music of The Grateful Dead from 9 p.m. – midnight.
