  • LAKE REGION - Planning is already underway for the 5th Annual Wally Lake Fest, which takes place Friday, August 22nd through Sunday, August 24th. Wally Lake Fest is the only festival in the Pocono Mountains specifically celebrating Lake Wallenpaupack and its garnered a lot of buzz over the past several years.
A few local community leaders with an enthusiasm for the Lake Region brainstormed ways to help summer last a little longer in the area and the idea for Wally Lake Fest was born. Since its inception, the festival’s been slated for the weekend before the Labor Day weekend holiday and it’s become one of the busiest times of the year as people flock to the Lake Region for all of the fun.
This is an action-packed three day event where the shores and surrounding area come alive with live music, an open fair market, free sailboat rides, tours of the Dam, kayak demos, art displays, bike rides, a motorcycle ride, downtown shopping, a boat parade, an ice cream social and much more. With so many activities planned, the entire Lake Region and downtown Hawley is the place to be for people of all ages either on the water or on dry land.
Wally Lake Fest is hosted by the Downtown Hawley Partnership and presented by Lighthouse Harbor Marina. It’s also made possible through dedicated and generous sponsors, volunteers, organizers, local businesses and supporters. The entire community works together to bring this end of summer celebration to the area.
