  • Outstanding seniors honored

  • WALLENPAUPACK - Three seniors were honored by the Wallenpaupack School Board, April 14, for their outstanding academics and use of extracurricular activities. They are Salvester Zarzana, Andrew Avissato and Fred Petsche.

  • WALLENPAUPACK - Three seniors were honored by the Wallenpaupack School Board, April 14, for their outstanding academics and use of extracurricular activities. They are Salvester Zarzana, Andrew Avissato and Fred Petsche.
        Zarzana is the grandson of Lorraine and Joseph Kestner, plans to attend Emmanuel College in Boston to major in Psychology. At Wallenpaupack he has been active with Friends of Rachel Club, Humanity United, Local History Club, Literary Magazine and National Honor Society. He has received the High Honors Award four years.
        Avissato and Petsche are both in the Automotive Technology program, who took first place at the recent Pennsylvania Automotive Association Competition. They now advance to the national competition, April 21-23, at the New York International Auto Show. Dr. Mark Watson runs the program at Wallenpaupack.
        Avissato, the son of Cynthia and Michael Avissato, plans to major in Criminal Justice at Kutztown University. At WAHS, he was in Skills USA, two years.
       Petsche, son of Hayley and Fred Petsche, plans to go to Penn State and major in Mechanical Engineering. he was in Skills USA and VIP Club while at Wallenpaupack.
