Ledges Hotel reopened April 19 after 62 days of cleaning and repairs following a winter fire.
Hotel Belvidere opened for dinner April 23rd, in the former Fallsport Inn. The new name is particularly significant, recalling the original name for this grand hotel in 1902.
A new sign is up for the Auction Gallery, operated by Byron White, in the large storefront in the Murray Building.
Recently a tattoo parlor and hair salon opened on Main Avenue.
There are still a few other commercial locations, waiting for a new business. The excitement is building as some have been occupied. This can easily help others to join in.
A lot of great things are happening. Coming in June will be the Main Street Matters paint project, hosted by Benjamin Moore paint company and serving as the prize for being one of only 20 communities selected in a nationwide contest the company held last year.
Along with numerous commercial facades on Main Avenue to receive new paint schemes as well as minor repairs, the Borough and Downtown Hawley Partnership will be presenting new benches and other streetscape accessories.
