PIKE COUNTY - The Pike County Agricultural Land Preservation (ALP) Board is looking for individuals who may be interested in joining the Board in promoting and supporting efforts to enhance the agricultural community in Pike County. The ALP Board has an opening for an at-large member though any interested candidates are encouraged to submit a letter of interest.
      The major purpose of this Board is to assist in the preservation of areas of actively farmed land in protected agricultural districts and to implement the Pike County Agricultural Land Preservation Program.  Board members serve a three-year term and are appointed by the Pike County Board of Commissioners.  The ALP Board meets once a month and meetings are held generally on third Thursday of each month.
