MILFORD - In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, the students from the Cornerstone Program at the Center for Developmental Disabilities painted balloons for a poster titled “Different Not Less!” which is on display in CDD’s lobby.
The Cornerstone Program is an Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) program for children and families living with Autism. Children receive 32.5 hours each week of intensive intervention and our classroom staff is supervised by a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst, and a licensed, certified teacher. The licensed therapists provide occupational, physical, speech and language therapies. Our highly qualified Cornerstone staff is trained in the principles and practice of ABA for children and families living with autism. The staff to child ratio is 1:1.
“We are thrilled by the successes of our children and the opportunity to provide children with autism with a program that is unique to Pike County, and we are very excited to be expanding the program and enrolling additional children this summer,” said Ann Gillerlane, Executive Director of CDD.
