  • Red Cross announces blood drives for May

  • WAYNE & PIKE - The American Red Cross Blood Services, Northeast Pennsylvania Region will hold several open to the public blood drives during the month of May in Wayne and Pike County.
       Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Don’t wait to donate. Each unit of donated blood may help save up to three lives.
      To make an appointment to donate blood please call 1-800-RED CROSS or log onto redcrossblood.org.
       All presenting donors during the month of May will be eligible for a chance to win a $250 VISA gift card. Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable.

        Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in PA), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.  Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.
