TEXAS TWP. - Honesdale Cinema 6 is working with the Wayne County Public Library to promote reading this May, June and July through a “Free Movie Saturday” program.
The public is invited to visit the cinema at the Route 6 Plaza, one Saturday each month where they can listen to a story, enter a drawing for a book basket and a movie basket and sign up for a library card. After that, participants can sit back and relax by watching "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."
The first one is scheduled Saturday, May 31.
Admission is free, and for unlimited popcorn and soda the cost is $4.00. Reading aloud starts at 9 a.m. and the movie will begin at 10 a.m. It is first come, first serve.
