  • REGION - The American Red Cross is accepting inquiries for missing loved ones after catastrophic flooding has hit areas of Southeast Europe.
Extremely heavy rain, strong winds and low temperatures affected Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent days. On May 13, continuous, heavy rainfall fell and the region recorded three months’ worth of rain in three days. As of May 18, more than 44 people have been reported killed in Serbia, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Croatia.  Overflowing rivers have burst into towns and villages, cutting off entire communities, while landslides have buried houses and cars.
