LAKE REGION - Lake Region IGA is again hosting KidsFest, set for Sunday, June 8. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. next to the Lake Region IGA market. The Classic Car Show and Hometown Pride Ride occur at the same time.
    Among the activities planned is Laser Tag, a bounce house and dunk tank. Food is sold and music will fill the air.
     Admission is $5. The only activity with a separate price is Laser Tag, which will cost $5 to play.
     New to the car show this year will be a raffle of a custom motorcycle built by Count's Kustoms.
     Trophies are awarded to car show winners, sponsored by area businesses. Wayne Bank and Kathy's License Service have both sponsored show trophies for 25 years.
    Registration and breakfast for the motorcycle ride begins at 9 a.m. at the Lake Region IGA parking lot. A special guest scheduled for the  Hometown Pride Ride is Shannon Aikau, lead builder at Count's Kustoms, Las Vegas, Nevada. The non-stop ride is 77 miles long, part of which includes the winding, scenic Hawk's Nest on NY Route 97 on the Delaware River.
   The requested donation for the ride is $25 per driver and $10 per passenger. Breakfast and lunch, and admission to the car show are included in the price. The two-hour ride starts at 10 a.m.
   All proceeds benefit Hawley emergency services and the Lake Region Community Dock Foundation.
   Lake Region IGA is located off Route 6 near the junction with Route 590, between Hawley and the Pike County line.
