NARROWSBURG - The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance's Spring Cultural Series will be held June 7 at 8 p.m. with a concert by the Matt Hoffmann Jazz Quintet, followed by a CD release party for “Communion.”
    “Communion” was recorded in a live studio setting at Big Twig Studios in Roscoe, NY and showcases original compositions of Matt Hoffmann (vibraphone/composer), Dylan Canterbury (trumpet), Joe Pietra (piano), Jerad Lippi (drums) and Mario Pietra (bass). Hoffmann is a jazz vibraphonist and drummer from Northeast Pennsylvania who has performed in concerts with Mark Shane, Allan Vaché and Dave Bennett, playing venues throughout the country. “Communion,” is his second CD recording as a leader.
    Hoffmann, 27, is a jazz vibraphonist and drummer from Northeast PA. He attended Purchase College SUNY earning a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies in 2011. He currently works at the Center for Discovery near Monticello, NY and performs regularly on vibraphone.
