Newlyweds' car hit

  SALEM TWP. - A car owned by a couple that had just been married that day, was struck in a hit & run incident in a restaurant parking lot, Saturday June 7. The crash occurred at Trios off of Route 590 in Salem Township, between 10:30 and 11:45 p.m., said State Police, Honesdale.
   The car that was hit is a 2013 Nissan Santra. What may possibly have been a white pickup truck collided with the car but left no identifiable information behind when the unknown driver kept going.
    Trooper First Class John Chervanka stated that it should be noted the victims were celebrating their marriage that occurred earlier that day. The victims are from Lake Ariel.

DUI charges filed

   GREENE TWP. - State Police, Blooming Grove, report that charges for DUI have been filed against Christopher Thomas, age 26, of Newfoundland, after a traffic stop in Greene Township, Tuesday night June 3rd.
   Thomas was stopped on Hemlock Grove Road near Route 507, just before 11 p.m. Police stopped him for traffic violations and found him to be under the influence of alcohol, Cpl. Shawn Smith said.
