HONESDALE - This year marks the 47th year for the Wayne County Creative Arts Council and their musical events in Honesdale’s Central Park. They will take place starting June 16 on Monday and Thursday nights beginning at 7:30 p.m.
    The first concert features the Northeasters Barbershop Chorus.   Performances continue till the last concert on July 31—just before the start of the Wayne County Fair.  Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy a fun filled evening, invited Creative Arts Council organizers.
      Refreshments will be available on the street behind the stage. There is no cover charge, however free will donations will be accepted.   The rain location is the Grace Episcopal Parish Hall. For more information and photos of past concerts go to www.honesdaleparkevents.org.

• Northeasters Barbershop Chorus: Monday, June 16: 7:30 p.m. in Honesdale’s Central Park:
Hosted by WCCAC and under co-directorship of Clyde Kreider and Dan Biondo, the Chorus will sing a mix of old barbershop favorites and perhaps give a sneak preview of their annual October concert held at HHS.  They will feature four local quartets from the Barbershop Chapter.
• Gypsy Jazz Quintet: Thursday, June 19:  7:30 p.m. in Honesdale’s Central Park:
WCCAC is pleased to present the Gypsy Jazz Quintet’s 3rd appearance on stage.   Band members include lead guitar John Curtin, guitarist Vince Marrone, bassist Bob Wilson (graduate of Honesdale High School), clarinetist Nick Driscoll and violinist Mark Woodyat.    GJQ started in 2006 as a tribute Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli whose jazz swing music was performed in Paris dance halls 1934-1939.
