LAKE REGION - On Sunday June 8th the Lake Region Community Dock Foundation (LRCDF) and the Lake Region IGA hosted its annual KidsFest, Classic Car Show and Hometown Pride Ride.  This year was a huge success by raising $11,000 for local emergency services and families in need.  
     To start the day, 171 motorcycles gathered in the Lake Region IGA parking lot to journey on the 6th annual Hometown Pride Ride, an 81 mile non-stop ride which included the scenic Hawk’s Nest on NY Route 97.  
   Special guest celebrities, Shannon Aikau, Lead Builder and Samantha Frontiera, Lead Project Manager from Count’s Kustomsin Las Vegas, Nevada were also in attendance.  Baer Sport Center supplied the 2013 Street Glide for Shannon and Samantha to participate in the ride.  Music for the ride was provided by Bold Gold Media.

••• Raffle winners
At KidsFest there were games, a bounce house, and a dunk tank.  Laser tag was provided by Combined Forces out of Beach Lake.  Prizes were raffled by the LRCDF and the winners are Lisa Hogan – Samsung smart TV, Brenda Drake – Google tablet, and Alberta Murphy – a GPS.  Four local families were given $1000 each from the LRCDF at KidsFest this year.  
  The families that were recognized are as follows, the Tigue family who has a three year old girl suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the Latourette family who just suffered a tragic barn fire, The Scigliano family who has a son with disabilities, and the Quick family who suffered a series of mini strokes and needs help paying medical bills.
The highlight of the day was the unveiling of a 2014 Count’s Kustoms Chopper that Shannon Aikau built for the Lake Region Community Dock Foundation.  The motorcycle will be raffled until it’s given away on December 24, 2014.  Chances to win the motorcycle are being sold at Lake Region IGA, Hawley Market IGA, and Shooky’s Distributors.  The winner will be posted at and
