DELAWARE TWP. - Delaware Township has announced the summer activities at Akenac Park. Beginning June 23rd, children can participate in several activities including nature walks, crafts, games and more. Activities begin at 10 a.m., with a new one every hour.
    All children's activities are free to Pike County residents.
   A summer book club is starting. Each week, children will read books by the same author while creating projects about their books designed to be fun.
   Parents may participate in Cardion Kick-boxing every Thursday at 10 a.m. The cost of the class is $8.  Parents can enjoy a workout while their children are engaged in outdoor activities.
   A complete schedule of camp activities and weekly themes can be found on the Delaware Township web site,, at the Township building on Wilson Hill Road or at Akenac Park.
   The park is located along Route 739. Also located at Akenac Park are the Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Historical Society and Delaware Township Library.
    Pike County taxpayers are allowed in the park free with proof of a tax bill. Daily fees for non-residents are $6.00/ adult, $2.00/ under 16 years of age and free if under 3 years old. Non-resident seniors are allowed in for $5.00 a day.
