  • DUI driver gets state sentence

  • HONESDALE  - The following cases were addressed June 26 by the Raymond L. Hamill, President Judge, Wayne County. These cases concern defendants from southern Wayne County (White Mills- south) and Pike County- or incidents in that region.
     • Joseph Delrio, age 34 of Gouldsboro was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for a period or not less than 19 months nor more than 60 months for one count of DUI-Highest Rate, graded as a misdemeanor of the 1st degree and one count of Driving While Operating Privilege Suspend/Revoked, graded as a summary offense.  He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, a fine in the amount of $1,700.00, complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment and complete an alcohol highway safety program.  The incident occurred on September 26, 2013, in Honesdale Borough.  His BAC was .197%.
    • Richard Estrella, age 24 of Lake Ariel was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 9 months nor more than 36 months for one count of Criminal Use of Communication Facility, graded as a felony of the 3rd degree.  He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, a fine in the amount of $300.00, perform 100 hours of community service, complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, obtain full time employment and submit to the drawing of a DNA sample and pay $250.00 for the cost of the sample.  The incident occurred on December 7, 2013, in Salem Township when Estrella used a cell phone in an attempt to obtain narcotics.
    • Christopher L. McClain, age 39 of Hawley was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI-Highest Rate, an ungraded misdemeanor.  He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, complete an alcohol highway safety program and perform 50 hours of community service.  The incident occurred on February 23, 2013, in Palmyra Township when Pennsylvania State Police were called to investigate the report of a one vehicle crash.  His BAC was .176%.
    • Connor W. Beschner, age 22 of Philadelphia was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI/Sch 1 Controlled Substance, an ungraded misdemeanor.  He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, complete an alcohol safety program and perform 40 hours of community service.  The incident occurred on November 27, 2013, in Salem Township when Beschner was discovered to be driving while under the influence of Marijuana.
     
    • Anthonu M. Venicinque, age 35 of Moscow was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, an ungraded misdemeanor.  He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, perform 25 hours of community service and obtain part time employment.  The incident occurred on November 2, 2013, in Paupack Township when Venticinque was found to be in possession of Marijuana.
    Page 2 of 2 - • Matthew Roses, age 23 of Lake Ariel was placed on the Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI.  He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, perform 40 hours of community service, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program, and have his operator’s license suspended for a period of 60 days.  The incident occurred on November 17, 2013, in Lake Township when Pennsylvania State Police were called to investigate the report of a one vehicle crash.  His BAC was .144%.
    • James Sullivan, age 30 of Hawley pled guilty to one count of Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, graded as a misdemeanor of the 3rd degree.   The incident occurred on November 8, 2013, in Honesdale Borough.  He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 14, 2014.
    • Kamie R. Hanson, age 23 of Tobyhanna pled guilty to one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, an ungraded misdemeanor.  The incident occurred on February 1, 2013, in Salem Township.  She is scheduled to be sentenced on August 14, 2014.
