  •   Raymond “ Bud” Haupt of Lackawaxen, PA a lifelong resident and retired co owner of Haupt Brothers Banner Market, Lackawaxen, PA passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Bethany Village, Bethany, PA.  He was 87.  The son of the late Arthur and Annabelle Hessberger Haupt, he was born November 11, 1926 in Lackawaxen, PA.  He was the widower of Unadeane “Honey” Haupt, who had passed away on August 11, 2011.  They were married for 63 years.
                  Bud was a WWII veteran having served in US Army Intelligence .  After retiring from the Banner Market, Bud worked for AM Skier in real estate and insurance. 
        Bud was a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Lackawaxen, PA.  He was a member of Ecker-Haupt VFW ,  Lackawaxen Fire Dept., the Lackawaxen Ambulance Corp. and the Delaware Masonic Lodge 561, Callicoon, NY.
       A family statement read, “'Bud.' was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.  He was a big part of our family and that void will never be filled.  We will miss him forever.”
        Survivors include: his  daughter Gail McNamara and her husband James of Camillus, NY; Two granddaughters : Maureen Bagozzi and her husband Jamie of Syracuse, NY and Kimberly McNamara of Camillus, NY.   Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
        He was preceded in death by his brothers Harold and Donald Haupt.
        Friends are invited to call on Sunday, June 29, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday, June 30, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Harrison-Rasmussen Funeral Home 3412 SR97, Barryville, NY. 
        Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
        Burial will take place at Lackawaxen Cemetery, Lackawaxen PA.
        In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ecker -Haupt VFW P.O. Box 170
    Lackawaxen, PA 18435.
