DELAWARE TWP. - State Police, Blooming Grove, report that a Conashaugh Trail resident has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle While DUI, following a crash on March 29. Charges were filed June 30th.
   The crash took the life of Patricia Edwards, 53, of Dingmans Ferry. Her passenger, Lisa Voighman, 33, also of Dingmans Ferry, suffered major injuries, police said. The crash took place along Route 739 in Delaware Township, Pike County.
   Edwards was traveling southbound when at 5:28 p.m., another vehicle heading north crossed the center lune and struck her car head-on. Police said that she tried unsuccessfully to avoid impact by steering left.  Both Edwards and her passenger were transported to Pocono Medical Center, where Edwards was pronounced deceased.
    The other driver was identified as Jonathan Woodruff, 36, of Conashaugh Trail, Milford.
   Trooper Jason Mills said that Woodruff showed signs of intoxication at the scene and was taken into custody for suspicions of DUI. A subsequent blood test showed his BAC to be three times over the legal limit.
   On June 30th the following felony charges were filed against Woodruff: Homicide by Vehicle While DUI, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle While DUI and Homicide by Vehicle.
   Police said Woodruff was scheduled to turn himself in at the Blooming Grove barracks on July 1st, to be processed. Arraignment was scheduled before Judge Paul Menditto.
