  • Man gets state time for stealing 38 firearms

  • MILFORD- Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued Thursday, June 26 by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
    • Kyle Moon, age 28, of Milford., was sentenced to 33 months to 5 ½ years at a State Correctional Facility to run consecutive to his present sentence for a total of 57 months to 11 ½ years and fined $400.00 for the crimes of Burglary and Theft By Unlawful Taking.  On December 5, 2012, in Dingman Township, Moon broke into a residence and stole 38 various firearms, including semi-automatic handguns, rifles and assault rifles as well as currency in excess of $2,000.00.
    • John Matthew Polega, age 28, of Lackawaxen, was sentenced to 18 months to 36 months in a State Correctional Facility, fined $500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance.  On July 15, 2013, at a residence in Palmyra Township, Polega delivered to an undercover officer, 20 bags of heroin.  Again on August 26, 2013 at a retail store in Palmyra Township, Polega, along with another individual, attempted to deliver 50 bags of heroin to an undercover officer for the sum of $550.00.
    • Joseph Louis Stellato-Riley, age 21, of Dingmans Ferry., was sentenced to 18 months and 72 hours to 3 ½ years in a State Correctional Facility, fined $2,200.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for two years for the crimes of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (two counts), Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, Indecent Exposure and Driving Under the Influence.
    On November 16 and November 20, 2012, in Delaware Township, Stellato-Riley delivered a total of 40 bags of heroin for $400.00 to an undercover officer.  On November 21, 2012 Stellato-Riley was found in possession of an ounce of marihuana with the intent to sell it and operating a vehicle under the influence of marihuana.
     In September of 2011, in Delaware Township, Stellato-Riley exposed himself to two juveniles in a manner which was intended to alarm them.  
    • Anthony S. Bochman, age 27, currently in the Pike County Jail, was sentenced to three months to 18 months in a State Correctional Facility to run consecutive with his present sentence of 14 months to 41 ½ months, and fined $300.00 for the crime of Criminal Trespass.  On October 5, 2013, at a residence in Delaware Township, the homeowner returned home to find a woman sleeping in his bed.  The homeowner left the house to call security.  When security arrived, Bochman and the woman fled the house, dropping a bag containing Bochman’s wallet.  Bochman was later arrested.

    • Richard Edward Beauchesne, age 31, of Port Jervis, NY., was sentenced to 11 ½ months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 3 years of Probation and fined $500.00 for the crime of Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance.  On February 11, 2013 at a residence in Matamoras, Beauchesne was found in possession of heroin.
    Page 2 of 2 - • Kristin Marie Strouse, age 30, of Matamoras was sentenced to nine months to two years in a State Correctional Facility to run concurrent to a previous sentence she is already serving, and was fined $500.00 for the crime of Theft.  On September 9, 2012, Strouse took jewelry with a value totaling in excess of $2,000.00 from a residence in Milford Township.
    • Joseph J. Tunney, age 27, of Cuddebackville, NY., was sentenced to eight months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail, fined $700.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for six months, for the crimes of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  On November 13, 2013, at Airport Park in Matamoras, Tunney and another individual engaged in the sale of 10 bags of heroin to an undercover police officer.
    • Beverly Ann Gilbert, age 53, of New Philadelphia., was sentenced to three days to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail for the crime of Bad Checks.  On July 20, 2013, Gilbert wrote a check for rent for a Palmyra Township residence in the amount of $800.00 knowing that there was insufficient funds to pay for it.

    • Craig J. Petrasek, age 52, of Lake Ariel., was sentenced to 12 months of Probation and fined $450.00 for the crimes of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the traffic offence of Restriction of Alcoholic Beverages.  On September 19, 2013, in Greene Township, during a traffic stop for traveling at a high rate of speed, Petrasek was found in possession of a marihuana pipe and an open bottle of rum.
